Crossing John and Longueil streets in L'Orignal on the L'Orignal spur. This is the end of the line! This is a 1958 Budd RDC {Rail Diesel Car}. It was originally with CN passenger services, transferred to VIA Rail, then finally back to CN and converted to a track geometry car. It measures all sorts of track parameters. This was its first appearance in the area since CN reacquired the Renfrew, Beachburg and Vankleek lines.

Roughly, John St is 0.4 miles from the end and Longueil St is 150 feet from the end; but the “end” I am thinking of is the end of CN track at the entrance to Ivaco.
To be sure, have a look in Google Earth near where the camera was located (45.6152,-74.6878) and work west.
How far from the end of the line is this? It’s strange that they would have protected crossings so close to the end of the line…
Look at that baby sway back & forth. It is an industrial spur after all. No 100 MPH LRC service here!
NICE!!!!!
