just 240,223 views. Shame on you America!
They can put a man on the moon back in 1969 and they tried to make excuses like we can’t make them good enough for people to want to buy them is fuckin’ bullshit plain and simple.
Well even if the demand was low while the cost was high, they didn’t have to recall and crush all of them. -_-
You’ll have to ask GM. My understanding is that the EV was an experiment on GM’s part. Maybe because of this or maybe because costs to GM of maintaining the existing leased fleet made them decide to take them back.
I’m sorry, could you explain the, “costs to GM of maintaining the existing leased fleet” part? Because I don’t understand what they have to pay for.
Maintenance, parts, repairs, etc. Even electric cars need these. However, this is just a guess on my part. When did a Google search I ran across articles on EV and battery prices which gave reasons why GM stopped the program. For some reason the prototype/experimental nature sticks in my head. I suggest you try a search to find out.
An update. Here is an idea that tries to get around the battery price and electric car range issues with a “battery swap” program. It sound quite good so have a listen:doubleudoubleudoubleu (dot) ted (dot) com (forward slash) talks (forward slash) shai_agassi_on_electric_cars (dot) html
One time this guy invented a pill u could drop into your gass tank and it would run an extra so many miles,,, too bad thats not out eitherFUCKING POWER HUNGRY FAGGOTS
Fridges are rated at ~12 amps max draw, so 12X120=1,440 watts MAXIMUM.The electric motor in the volt is rated at 53,000 watts MAX (i.e. 53kw).53,000 > 1,440. Knowledge fail!
Samuraifugitivo, I’ve tried posting twice but nothing has showed up. Anyway, I’m not clear on what you’re saying. Back in EV’s day, the replacement cost was in the $20,000-$30,000 range and today the Tesla batteries are around $35,000 (I did read $80,000 somewhere). Just do a Google search and you’ll see.
