This is a 12V oscillating automotive fan, which plugs into a simple automotive cigarette lighter. Great for cars, trucks, buses, boats, and even many recreational vehicles. This fan is also the perfect sailor companion and can be used in marine applications. The fan is very quiet, yet provides sufficient air to cool an entire vehicle effortlessly.
An on off switch is provided to avoid having to plug and unplug the appliance. When left on the on position, it can also be used as if the switch was

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item,
My son recently purchased a few of these to cool down his flight simulator. When I saw this fan, I thought it would be perfect for my boat, so I had him surrender one to me.
This fan comes attached on a strong clip which is very helpful when locating in some odd places. There always seem to be a place where it can be clipped on. Inside the clip is a rubbery material which makes it anti slip, a feature essential on a boat because of vibrations. The clamp and the fan are connected by a 3 inches metallic plate with 2 hinges to orient the fan in any position.
In the box was also some hardware if you do not wish to use the clip, the fan can be installed on a sliding plate that was provided as well as the connecting hardware.
The fan grid is made of metal, painted black, where the backing is mostly plastic. The fan does not need to be plugged or unplugged as there is a switch which allows to leave the fan mounted and wired. A lever on top of the motor casing allows to turn the oscillating function on or off.
The operation is easy and relatively silent, other than air dynamic noises, which makes it comfortable in confined spaces like boat, car, RV’s. Overall I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item at such an incredible price.

It draws 5 amps (at 12v), which might be disqualifying if you’re conserving limited power for some reason.
No concern in a running car, though.

|great little fan,
This is a great little fan– it’s relatively quiet, and generates a good wind. My only thought is that it would be nice if it had more than one setting. As it is, it’s either on or off. Still, for the price, it’s very good. I looked around a lot before I bought this fan, and am pleased with the value. It also has a nice long cord.
