I’ve used it for a few months and sure enough when driving to NYC, it went off and I slowed down. Up ahead the police where pulling over cars!

Worthless!

Takes more than a minute to acquire satellites on a clear day and just about never on an overcast/raininy day.

Frequently loses satellites on tree lined streets.

Not able to control alerts enough to use in a city that has cameras at just about every other intersection. In other words, it is still warning you about the last camera and when the next is encountered.

Is proximity based, so goes off if near a camera and not if approaching.

Basically unusable and unreliable.

I live in Arizona and these red light signal cameras are popping up everywhere. I saw a review of this product on Engadget and immediatley went to the GPS Angel web site to learn more. To my surprise, I was able to view a map with all of the camera locations built into the device’s database and sure enough Arizona was well covered!

My wife got a $300 ticket from a red signal camera and I was on the hunt for a radar detector that can locate these cameras. The price for the radar detectors are all twice the price of the Angel so I picked one up and it works great! Their web site has all of the cameras on the map and we are very happy with our purchase!

I saw this product on a gadget site and was skeptical at first but wow am I a fan now! Two red light traffic signal cameras are near our home and this GPS Angel gives us plenty of notice everytime we approach them! I love that the camera database is free and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who commutes or has a red light camera near their home or office.
