He ran it for maybe a minute and fifteen seconds… No harm done.
Leave it on till it has some time to warm up (Couple minutes) and it may damage the head gasket.
Diesels are built a little stronger because of the way they work. A lot of the metal parts are thicker, so they absorb more heat and take a little longer to warm up.

(sigh) Wish people would read the comments before they ask questions. Poor Dave said he put the motor in his mini van & he put a turbo on it. There maybe that will help for a little while. ^_^ It’s a wonder Dave doesn’t have carpel tunnel from typing repeat answers to all the questions asked 5 or 6 times on the same video. Not trying to be mean just saying read first then ask. You may find your answers without typing a word. ^_^
